About the chef : Alan Kok Alan, 27 years old, is a Hakka. He was borned in Broga , Negeri Sembilan. He completed his professional chef training courses in Seni Masakan (F&B) Institution in 1995. He has worked as a chef in many renowned Chinese restaurants around Kuala Lumpur. He joined “Yum Yum Magazine”, a bi-monthly culinery publication in 2002 and is one of the best known chef. His column “Sauces” which was introduced since last year in “Yum Yum Magazine” was very well received and loved by the readers. In 2002, together with Agnes Chang and chef Tan Ho Meng from Singapore, Alan has co-written a cook book “Auspicious New Year Delicacies”. End of 2003, together with Chef Bryan Ong, he has written “Hawkers Fair 1” which was a hit, a best-seller which has sold more than 40,000 copies to-date. “Hawkers Fair-Sauces”, another best-seller, which has also sold more than 40,000 copies is his own creation for the year of 2004. |
